MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL FLOWER & GARDEN SHOW
In collaboration with Flowers Vasette, Batik designed a secret garden inspired by Florence positioned in the heart of Melbourne's Royal Exhibition Building for client Maxiflora at The International Flower and Garden Show. Blossoming under the iconic dome at The Royal Exhibition Building, the installation featured a hand-carved fountain, hand sketched and designed by Batik and sculpted by a local Melbourne artist. The fountains were adorned with voluminous hydrangeas pooling gracefully in the fountain and spouting from eye catching heights. The result was a magnetic fairytale garden of a bygone era, a spectacular site designed to accommodate the foot traffic of over 100,000 visitors.
